We have one charity that we will be donating some stash yarn to:
Feel Better Friends Project.
Here is more information about them and they great work they do. One of their team leaders is right here in Seguin.
Feel Better Friends are handmade dolls stuffed with love and well wishes, crafted by volunteers and donated to children battling cancer and many other illnesses. These well-loved dolls are custom made with the child’s likeness in mind, matching eye and hair color, and replicating the child’s favorite outfit to the best of our ability. They can even be made bald like the child with a little matching wig too! We have almost 200 volunteers in over 6 countries eagerly making FBF dolls for children in need but are always in need of new volunteers. If you would like to join our group or donate to us, just go to fbfdolls.org or visit our Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/FeelBetterFriends/
We will be accepting stash yarn again this year. It was such a great success last year we decided to do it again!!
We are also looking for guests that are making projects for charity to claim portions of the stash. Our Seguin Fiber guild is still using the huge pile from last year!!!!!!
You can drop off any donations at the registration desk. Each donation will receive an extra door prize drawing slip.

Down the Rabbit Hole...
This is a saying among us fiber people. I didn't even know I was a fiber person until about three years ago when I bought three worm resistant sheep for the dairy goats my son needed because cow's milk didn't agree with him. Since Gulf Coast Native Sheep have to be sheared I was determined to find out what people who bought fiber wanted, especially after reading a bad review on wool on Etsy. In order to find what fiber people want I learned to crochet, spin, weave, needle felt, wet felt and I invested in a picker and carder to clean, pick, and card batts of fiber. In addition to a full Pinterest, piles of books, and requests from family, I am working my way through my “Shave'em to Save'em” passport. Attending Yellow Rose Fiber Fiesta was a big part of my growth in fiber. With all the different vendors I was able to touch endless amounts of fiber, see all the ways to use it in daily life, and talk to other shepherds. This only inspired me to want to do more with fiber. As I traveled down this road I found the opportunity to take over Yellow Rose Fiber Fiesta and I am very excited to keep bringing people together for the fiber experience.Type your paragraph here.
